Level 2 in Hairdressing

This qualification provides all the essential knowledge and skills to work effectively as a hairdresser.

What does this qualification cover?

2. Setting and dressing hair
3. Styling and finishing hair
4. Developing and maintaining effectiveness at work
5. Cutting hair using basic techniques
6. Colouring and lightening hair
7. Shampooing, conditioning, and treating the hair and scalp

Throughout the course, learners will develop a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and health and safety principles. They will gain the expertise needed to offer a full range of hairdressing services. Level 2 in Barbering

Level 3 in Hairdressing

This qualification helps you develop the advanced skills needed to become a senior stylist. It builds on what you already know and teaches more in-depth techniques for the job. Your skills will be tested in a real salon setting

Level 3 in Barbering

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of education and training as a vocational assessor. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of vocational assessor.

Is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a vocational assessor. This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 years or older and will support you to gain employment as a vocational assessor, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

This is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. workshop, classroom or other training environment). Entry onto this qualification will require you to have full competence in the vocational subject area that you will be assessing and you will need access to a cohort of learners, so that you can gather evidence of real assessments.

This qualification includes units covering the principles and practices of assessment, assessing learners’ occupational competence in the work place and assessing vocational skills, and knowledge and understanding of education and training.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a qualification designed to enable you to develop practical teaching skills.

This qualification has been mapped to the relevant National Occupational Standards, and is accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework.

There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. Your centre will have ensured that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.

The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training will enable you to work in a teaching role and progress on to a broader teaching qualification. This qualification is suitable for trainee teachers, those experienced in a teaching role and those working as assessors who wish to gain a teaching qualification.

This qualification has been specifically designed for the 19+ age groups, this certificate is designed to equip a wide range of teachers/trainers and facilitators with the requisite skills and knowledge required to fulfil a teaching role. The course content covers planning, delivery, assessment and the use of resources. You will also gain teaching delivery skills and participate in microteaching sessions, evaluation skills and techniques also form part of the course content.
